Making action possible
Dragon Fire & Safety provides fire cover and water bowser services for film, television and events. Based in Cardiff, we work across Wales, including North Wales and Anglesey, the South West of England, and locations throughout England and Scotland.
Our expertise is forged in the real world: decades of front-line fire, rescue, and risk management experience combined with the innovation of modern safety systems. We understand the pressures of production and the pace of performance, bringing structure, clarity, and calm wherever the stakes are high. With us, safety isn’t a barrier, it’s the framework that allows creativity to thrive. Because when you know everything is protected, you can push the limits of what’s possible.

It isn’t about stopping the action. It’s about making action possible – and keeping everyone safe while we do it.
Our Services
What We Offer
From pyrotechnic stunts to complex location shoots, we balance ambition with discipline, protecting every person and every shot. We don’t just tick boxes; we build a culture of safety excellence that strengthens creativity, productivity, and trust.
Services
Fire Cover for Film, TV & Events
Fire cover for film, TV and events, with trained firefighters working alongside production, SFX and Stunts. Based in Cardiff, covering Wales, the South West, England and Scotland. Contact us to discuss your location, dates and requirements.
Services
Fire Safety & Engineering
From egress and smoke behaviour to temporary structures, we build performance-based strategies that regulators respect and crews can run.
Services
Fire Safety Training
Department-specific sessions turn theory into muscle memory: which extinguisher, who leads, where to stop. Live, practical drills cut false alarms, sharpen first response, and keep momentum when the slate claps.
Services
Fire Safety & Equipment
We specify, supply and manage the equipment that keeps sets compliant and moving: correctly rated extinguishers, fire points, trolleys, blankets and hot-work controls.
Services
Marine Safety & Boats
We lock in permissions, comms and extraction routes before call, then deploy qualified teams with rescue craft and cold-water PPE. Docks, lakes or reservoirs—operations run predictably so performance stays the focus.
Services
Water Bowser Hire for Film, TV & Events
Water bowser hire and water supply support for film, TV, SFX and events. Based in Cardiff, serving Wales, the South West, England and Scotland. Discuss your location, dates, water volume and production requirements with our team.
Services
Heated Water
Temperature-controlled rigs keep cast comfortable and continuity tight, giving productions the flexibility to hold the look without welfare risk. Weather pressure drops; schedule confidence rises.
Services
Water Safety Training
We prepare crews for safe, efficient water days: cold-water shock awareness, hypothermia recognition and warming routines, PPE selection and fit, throwline use, boat and pontoon protocols, and comms that work under pressure.
Services
Health & Safety Training
Senior briefings sharpen accountability; toolbox refreshers sharpen reflexes. Short, scenario-led modules build the behaviours that matter on the floor—communication, controls and confidence.
Services
Recces & Risk Assessments
We break down scenes, identify hazards and design practical controls that ADs, SFX and Construction can run.
Services
Health & Safety Advisors
Production-literate advisors integrate with departments, set the daily rhythm, and manage the risk delta in real time.
Services
Health & Safety Retained Services
A retained service gives you a dedicated advisor, scheduled audits and recces, and rapid support when plans change.
